Sue's Notes
January 2012
Happy New Year!
Yes, we’re half way through January already…but we’re still in the early stages of 2012 so I felt it was appropriate to acknowledge this.
Over the holidays, I took advantage of the downtime and really relaxed – I spent time re-organizing my office (yes, that’s relaxing and feels oh so good to have a fresh look), planning for the year ahead, and “working” on a puzzle.
My parents gave me a 1000 piece puzzle (tiny pieces) that looks like my oldest son when he was a young child curled up on the sofa with our dog, Riley – and Santa in the background. Lots of blues/grays and lots of pinks/browns…and lots of concentration time. I love doing puzzles as they get me out of my normal frame of mind and into a different space – leaving me with a refreshed view when I get back to my desk.
My 60 Second Tip this month is an article I wrote for Networking Today a couple of years ago relating puzzles to business growth. The message still stands. Read it here.
Cheers!
P.S. In case you didn’t hear, David Chilton featured me in an article about my other business, Networking Today, in Franchise Canada Magazine this month. You can read it online at http://www.cfa.ca/Books/FranchiseCanadaDigital.html (Page 60).
