Sue's Notes
June 2009
A couple of weeks ago I held my first Branding Dialog teleseminar with friend and colleague Mary van de Wiel (Van) from A New Brand Landscape. What a lot of fun that was...but sometimes, things don't always go as planned. But how you handle the situation can make all the difference!
It started that morning. Van and I called in to the conference line to test the system - muting, recording, and so on. It all seemed to work rather well, but before we could finish the testing, I had to run off to stop the water from pouring into our house in a torrential down pour. It took a couple of hours to get things under control, minimal damage, and then it was nearly time for the call.
I called in to the "special" line for Van and I and we had listeners on our end. Obviously, there were problems on the line but that didn't stop our call. We were a bit distracted at first but in listening later, it didn't seem to come through, thankfully.
Doing a teleseminar or event with someone that complements your expertise is a wonderful experience. It's half the work, half the anxiety, and double the fun...and double the valuable information for listeners.
Consider who you could work with to create valuable content for your audience.
